Today I slightly changed the page style, to make it better readable. Today, a way was presented how to reset an admin’s password of a WordPress installation, by just calling http://domain.dom/wp-login.php?action=rp&key[]= I’ve just updated to WordPress 2.8.1, which fixes some security issues (which allowed unprevileged users to change options of some particular plugins). Today I wanted to submit a bug for Google (XML) Sitemaps Generator for WordPress. WordPress.org offers a Trac Ticket System under http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org. Obviously, a new ticket cannot be submitted anonymously, so you have to log in. But I could not find any hint about how to register for a new account for this system. I am using the Atahualpa Theme and I think it’s annoying to get an outline around the header image while clicking on it by default. The outline is the dashed line around the header image that appears when you press your mouse button down while hovering over the image (at least in Firefox 3). There is a very easy way to remove it: I just installed Sabre 0.9.0 to have a secure registration form for my WordPress pages. Basically it’s a really nice plugin (thank you for providing it!), but I think the registration form is really bad looking by default: You’re using WordPress and know the Appearance->Widgets menu? On the left side there you have a list of all available widgets. The widgets which aren’t already added to a sidebar – or another element albe to contain widgets – should have an Add-button, to add them anywhere. The widgets that are already added can be removed from their corresponding element and then the Add-button reappears. Not for me. There it is, my first blog post — faster than expected (if at all). But why that? |
